About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Travelling from Amsterdam to Brisbane (AU) via Beijing and Guanghzou

We are travelling from Amsterdam to Brisbane (AU) via Beijing and Guanghzou, we are Dutch citizens, we will not have enough time to leave both airports, can we use the transit visa?

Anja, if your total layover time in Beijing and Guangzhou is not more than 24 hours, you can enjoy free transit policy. No need to apply for a regular visa for that.

Thanks for your reply, but according to China Southern we do need a visa and they would not let us board the flight if we do not.
We have applied finally for a visa , additional costs 126 euro.

That's the policy before January 2018 when multi-stop transit in Guangzhou was not permitted. Now there are no such restrictions.
