About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I use the 144 Hour Visa-Free transit in Beijing?

I will arrive in Beijing from Amsterdam with a passport from the Netherlands and will depart within 144 hours to Tokyo (Japan). I do have a conformed ticket to Tokyo, but I don't need a visa for Japan. Can I still apply for the 144 Hour Free transit in Beijing (without a visa for Japan)?

Am I allowed to visit the Great Wall and Ming tombs with Visa-Free stay in Beijing?

As long as Beijing is the only city your plane will land in on the way to Tokyo, you can take advantage of the 144 hour transit without visa. You can do the same from Japan on the way back. You can do Ming Tombs and Great Wall on the TWOV
