US Citizen visiting Singapore first then China but have no Chinese Visa

Hi, I am a US citizen who is going to visit Singapore first and then China, but I didn't have time to get my Chinese entry permit while in the US. Can I get the entry permit at the Chinese Embassy in Singapore? I am here for 7 days. Thank you

Hi, I’m afraid it is rather difficult for you to get it from there because temporary visitors in Singapore are usually advised to make the application in their home country.
