About:Dress Code in China

We will be on a tour to China in April. What attire is appropriate?

We will be visiting the Forbidden City, the terra cotta warriors, etc., and I am not sure whether shorts are appropriate or warm enough, and whether long dresses would be more appropriate. I am in my 60s. Will coats be necessary?

Based on the previous weather statistics, the temperature may range from 15C to 25C in Beijing and Xian. The weather will be cool and comfortable. You are advised to bring a jacket, T-shirts, sneakers, short-sleeved shirts. Shorts will be ok. It is suggested to wear sneakers or sandals instead of Flip-Flops when touring around museums and temples.
