About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

If I need a VISA for China, how best obtain it?

I booked a Flight from Manila to USA with connection in PVG, travel date of 25 March. Later China Eastern changed my flight to 24 Mar, giving me a 25 hour wait time in Shanghai.
Would I need a VISA if I remain in the airport awaiting my connection?
If I book a hotel near the airport can I stay at the hotel overnight without entry permit?

Stephen, you can enjoy 144 hour free transit in Shanghai by traveling like Manila-Shanghai(25 hours)-USA. No need to apply for a visa for that.
