American on the road needing a visa

Hello, I am looking to get a visa for a short trip (10 days) in China for early April (F1), but am currently in the UK. Do I need to send my papers and passport to the US for entry permit processing, or will the Office in Edinburgh be able yo process my request?

Hi, you cannot send your papers and passport to the US to process the application when you are in the UK. You can try to make the application to the CVASC where your current residence belongs to in England.
