About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

24 hours transit visa for indian passport holder in Guangzhou airport

Hi,
I am an indian passport holder.
in july 2018 I will be travelling from Sydney to Europe through china southern airlines. I have a lay over of 18 hours in Guangzhou. Do I need to apply for entry permit or I will be allowed 24 hours free transit on arrival.
I read somewhere that the 24 hours on arrival free transit is not issued to citizens of certain countries anymore.

Hi, you are allowed to use 24 hours free transit on arrival in Guangzhou airport. Don't worry.

You do not need a visa but most likely won't be able to leave the airport either.

if I apply for a visa now and get it then will the immigration people will allow me to go out or not?

Yes. If you have regular visa, you are allowed to go out the airport.
