About:China Transit Visa

connecting flight in Shanghai

Hi I am wondering:
I have a Mexican Passport but I'm a Canadian resident
I will be traveling Toronto to Tokyo
but I have a connecting flight in Shanghai, therefore is Toronto -Shanghai- Tokyo
my layover is less than 3 hours, Do i need any kind of permit?

I will really appreciate your help

Desiree, you can use 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai, and no need to apply for visa.
