Hi i m pakistani international student in Australia and i intend to visit china..which type of visa

I went to oiffce center Australia for apply L type but they denied to take pakistani passport for L as they told me for applying L you have to go back to your home country.. can you tell me how and which visa can i apply from australia to china??
