What is the procedure for applying Chinese Tourist visa from Maldives?

We are from Maldives, and We are planning to visit china for a meeting with our new suppliers. we need to stay two weeks in China, and mean while we will be visiting "Guangzhou and Shanghai ." could you please advice what is the procedure for applying Chinese Tourist L from Maldives.

First, you need to provide a filled-out application form affixed with photos, your passport and its photocopy, round trip air tickets and hotel reservation as well as other documents the consular officers consider necessary. Next, submit the application to the Chinese embassy.
