About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

My route is LAX-PEK-BKK-LAX with 2.5 hour layover in PVG.

If I'm leaving from LAX to PEK, but have a 2.5 hour layover in PVG can I still get the 72 hour free transit?

No, you won’t qualify for the 72 hour free transit because the 72 hour policy only allows the traveler to transit in one Chinese city. Try to apply for a regular visa before the trip.
