24 hour free transit from jakarta to toronto transit in shanghai

Question

Hi, i am holding indonesian passport and already have canadian visa. My flight to toronto will transit in Shanghai for 11 hours. Should i apply for transit G type in jakarta or i am eligible to have 24 hours free transit and tour?

You need to contact Shanghai Immigration and the airline you are traveling with. There have been reports in 2016 and 2017 that Indonesians, Malaysians and Thais are being refused boarding by certain airlines when not holding a visa, although there were never any official documentations confirming this.
