About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hi. I am planning a trip to North Korea by plane return trip to Dprk Capital.

I have a plane ticket return trip from my home to Beijing and another return trip from Beijing to Dprk capital. In Beijing i will not stay longer than 1 day on each trip (home-Beijing 11 april beijing-dprk capital 12 april and return dprk capital - Beijing 17 april and Beijing home 18 april) i am from the 53 countrys mentioned above) can i apply for VOA or do i have to obtain normal visa? Thank you

Mihai,you cannot apply for VOA, but you are eligible for the free transit in Beijing. In this case, no need to apply for a visa.

Thanks for the reply. I have thought to another way that a can see a bit of Beijing. Can i go from home to beijing stay 2 nights (i already bought the plane ticket and have the visa for Dprk) then travel there to dprk. As returning trip: flying from Dprk to Beijing stay 2 days there and fly back to amsterdam then go home. Will it work this way?

It will work. You can enjoy visa-free transit in Beijing in both directions.
