hello,we will have a 7 hour stopover in guangzhou baiyun

Question

while  travelling from Brisbane Australia, to Paris France. I have booked a room at a local to the airport hotel to rest and shower, so will need a 24hr TWOV. We have onward flights and Australian passports, so wondering how long it will take for the TWOV pass to be arrannged and where we go to organize it? I would contact the immigration at GZ airport cause it´s a totally mess there at the moment.There´re reports that people get denied to leave the airport if their stay is under 8h.
