About:Beijing Transportation

Bus or train back from Longqinq to Beijing

We are located in Wangwujing and would like to day-trip the Longqinq Gorge for the Ice Festival 2018.
Is it more recommendable to take the bus or the S-train? Which route?
When is the last train and/or the last bus back to BJ? We don't want to have to spend the night there

Bus is better. You can take bus 919 express from Deshengmen and then switch to bus Y15 at Yanqing Dongguan, get off at Longqingxia.
The last returning bus Y15 departs at 18:00, the other is at 19:00.

Thank you, Harvey. Bus Y43 can be used instead of Y15. The two have slightly different routes but both pass the Gorge's visitor entrance.
