About:China Visa Application Procedure and Fee

Category required for two entry to China on same tour

Am flying into Shanghai for a 3 day visit. Then leaving on a cruise out of Shanghai cruising to Korea for 3 days and then arriving in Tianjin Beijing for a 3 day stay on ship and doing excursions and travel. After that leaving China permanently on cruise. Do I require a double entry visa or some other category?

If you travel Australia – Shanghai – Korea- Tianjin & Beijing – Australia, you can make use of the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai and Tianjin& Beijing respectively. No need to apply for a visa then.

Actually I will be 3 days in Shanghai and then cruise for 3 days and be in Beijing for a further 3 days, so in all 9 days before I leave Beijing for Japan on the cruise. I will exceed the 144Hrs allowed as free transit.
