About:China Visa Application in UK

Visa for China if I have HK ID

Hello
Do I need to apply for full L visa to China traveling from UK to Hong Kong via cruise ship to Tianjin and then shanghai.
As I have also HK ID card with a HK issued Return to China certificate.

If you have home return permit, you can enter China freely.
