About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Please can you help ? My family arrive into shanghai airport from the uk .

We are tonstaybone night in shanghai and then wil depart on a week long cruise around Japan . We then arrive back at Shanghai were we would like to spend 2 or 3 nights before travelling by train to Hongkong . I am a little bit anxious as to which visa we need ?

You don't need a visa of any kind if your flights to and from Shanghai have no stops in China and your first port of call outside China is in another country.
