About:China Transit Visa

Flying on China Southern from Auckland to Frankfurt, with 2 layovers in Guangzhou and Changsha

Do we need a Visa,when the Airline will give us a free hotel in Guangzhou, as the layover is 16hours 50minutes. Layovertime in Chansha will only be 1hour15minutes.
The same will apply for our return trip.
We are going in June 2018, coming back in August 2018.

Luise, you need a transit G type for this trip because it is said that transit including multiple stops within China is permitted at Guangzhou only when the first transit point is Beijing.
