I have a US passport. Can I use the 144 hour free transit?

Arriving April 26, 2018 on cruise ship in Tianjin port. Last cruise port before dis-embarkation is South Korea. WE will stay in Beijing. We will depart Beijing, May 1 directly to US. As US passport holder, do I qualify for the 144 hour free transit. Thank you for your help.
