About:China Tourist Visa

I am a legal resident alien in China, with a valid Z type. May I travel to Tibet on my current visa?

I live in Jiangsu province and my Z type expires at the end of July, 2018. May I travel to Tibet-region on my current visa, or do I need a new L-type to visit Tibet (as a tourist)? I have a U.S. passport. Please and thank you.

Yes, you can use the current one to visit Tibet, but you also need to apply for a Tibet travel permit through a travel agent.
