About:China Transit Visa

I am traveling from US to Korea and have 15 hours

and 50mins layover at Shanghai Pu Dong, China. I planned on staying in and not leaving the airport for those 16 hours waiting. Do I still need transit visa?

Check with your airline you will get a free hotel stay. I am staying in Shanghai for 15 hours on route to Bangkok and China eastern airline is giving the family a free stay near the airport.
