About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Will be on a cruise traveling from Japan to Korea to China (Shanghai).

When I arrive in Shanghai, I will be taking a flight to Hong Kong the same day. Will be staying in Hong Kong for five days before returning to the USA. Do I need a Visa during my stay in China??

Thank you.

Chih, no, you don’t need it. You are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai.
