American student in China

I am an American student in China hoping to extend my stay in China. Can I apply for another 6 month student visa at the Chinese embassy in Seoul, Korea? Or do I need to travel back to America to receive another visa?

Usually, it is difficult to get it in Korea if you don’t have residence permit there.
You are advised to go back to USA for that.
