Will I qualify for the 144 hour visa if I fly from USA via Shanghai to Manila Philippines?

I wanted to stay in Shanghai for 4 days prior to my final destination, Manila Philippines. Then my return flight is Cebu, Philippines via Shanghai (just 4 hours connecting flight, no layover) to USA.
