About:China Private Visit Visa

Can S2 visa holder stay a year if residence permit allows?

Hi i m in china, got S2 type as my husband got a job here he invited me last month, so i got s2 type for 3 months, but then this residence permit is valid for a year,so if i stay more than 3 months is it ok or when i leave china aftrr 3-6 months do i have to pay any fine or anything?
So confused
Pls help

Mehreen, as far as I know, you cannot get a residence permit if you hold S2 type. However, if you hold S1 type, then you can get a residence permit which may allow you to stay in China for a year.

Hi Neil, as i said i had S2 visa but thy cancelled it and posted a resident permit for a yr on my pasport, i have no idea wht is my visa ststus now!
