South African passport holder wanting to visit China

Hi there. Please could I ask you to give me some information regarding the time it takes for a visa application to be processed. I am a South African passport holder staying with family in Mauritius and would like to visit China in January. If I apply for a visa this week, how long does it usually take for the application to be processed?
