About:Beijing - Shanghai High Speed Train

if I bring big luggage, I can't take this HST?

Following to below answer, the point is that if I bring big luggage, I can't take this HST? if yes, how to buy slow rides train ticket ?

quote
It is not really advisable to checkin the luggage if you will travel by bullet ride since there is no luggage carriage. In this way, your luggage will be arranged on other slow rides instead. The policy says you can take 20kg in the cabin, no limitation for pieces mentioned. But normally as long as your luggage do not looks too large, it will not be weighted. If you use checkin luggage service, there will be extra cost, nor clear about the details.

I think it is no problem to have your luggage with you. I did not see anyone at the station checking for that. Some travelers even have 2 pieces of luggage. The size can be accepted by flight (checked luggage) should work on high speed rail as well.

I just returned from two weeks across China via the high speed train. Many people bring one large suitcase per person, but not two because of the on-board space limitation. Most passengers use the overhead racks for carry-on luggage and slightly larger suitcases. There are a few racks near the doors for larger suitcases like for checked luggage. However, these racks are first-come/first-served. You might find one to store your suitcases, but it may be in a train car far from your seat. If you travel business class, a porter will find space for your luggage if you ask them in Mandarin. Most don't speak English and Google Translate (or anything Google) is blocked in China unless you have VPN.
