Lijiang Old Town Transportation

Please advise :

(i) How to travel from Old Town to LJ Bus Station (we need to take a bus to Dali). Do we need to buy bus ticket to Dali in advance (we will be there in early Feb 2018) ;

(ii) as we will be staying in Dali Old Town, where shld we get down in Dali (if we were to travel by bus)
