About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Two cities connection in China

Flying into Beijing, then second flight to Chengdu and third to Kathmandu (total stay in China under 24 h). Two cities in China -- do 72 hour policy apply to my situation?

The 72-hour policy does not apply but the 24-hour does.
