About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Does country A and country B have to be different?

Hi,
I am planning to go to Shanghai coming from Korea. My stay will be less than 72 hours, but it is not really a transit since I go back to Korea afterwards. Does the 72hour free transit still apply for me?

Hi, country A and country B have to be different. So Korea-Shanghai-Korea is not a transit. You need a visa for that.
