That is incorrect. You are limited to no more than 72 hours transit in Beijing without a visa.

thank you ok I understood its counted from the time we arrived at the airport. There is note on the website that we cannot leave the administrative area of the transit city. We would like to do great wall tour. Is this within Bejing area?

Hi looks like I am planning the same trip, but with the stop over in Beijing on the way to Vietnam. Flight lands on a Saturday at 13.05. Flights depart 20.35 everyday. Is the time calculated from midnight on Saturday not time of landing - thus I can book my flight for Tuesday ? Is this correct?
Thanks
