About:Marriage Registration in China

a single status certificate

I’m US citizen. And my boyfriend is from china. We are getting married in china. HOW or WHERE to get a single certificate in usa?

Hi, you should prepare the single certificate and first get it notarized by the local notary public and the Secretary of State of your country(some states also require that the documents need to be notarized by County Clerk); and then go to the embassy of China to get that attested. Afterwards, you are able to use the single certificate in mainland China.
