About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Two stops in China

I am flying from HKG to MEL with a stop in XMN and HGH. The two stops are a total of only 8 hours long. This means I will be fine with the 24 hour transit free visa correct? I was worried because a lot talks about only being able to stop in one Chinese city so I am confused. Any help would be great, thank you!

You are fine as long as the time from your scheduled arrival in XMN to scheduled departure from HGH is less than 24 hours. The "stop in one Chinese city" rule applies to 72 hour transits.
