Age restriction for X Visa application?

Hello, is there any age restriction for students applying for a X type? The child (8 yrs) would go to a chinese or international junior school and in regards the depent will apply for a S type. Would that work?

Hi, as I know, there is no age restriction for students applying for a X type. Maybe you can do that. Or you are advised to contact the China embassy to inquire this beforehand.
