high speed train ticket from guangzhou south station

Question

I am planning to buy a high-speed ride ticket from Guangzhou South Station. This is my first time in China, and I want to know the following: (a) I plan leave at beijing road how to reach the guangzhou south station by metro(b) if the child still 2y should i buy the high speed ticket or no need?Will be very helpful if you can kindly respond to my above queries please

You can take subway line 2 to reach south station directly. From Beijing Rd, area, you may take the subway from Gongyuanqian, Beijing Rd or Haizhu Square, you can choose one closer to your location.The policy says child under 1.2m can board for free by sharing the seat with adult. One adult can take one child under 1.2 for free only. So if you do not need a seat for the child, you do not need to buy a ticket for the child. If the child need to have his or her own seat, you can buy a child ticket then.
