About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Multiple Entries. Do i need a special visa to indicate that i am doing multiple entries?

I am flying into shanghai in early 2018 and immediately leaving to hong kong before returning to shanghai 7 days later and staying a couple days before flying home.

You are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit and 144 hour free transit in Shanghai in both ways if you travel like that. No visa is needed then. Nice trip!
