About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

US citizen. Traveling to the Philippines. Making 2 stops in China. Do I need a visa?

I'm traveling to the Philippines in 8 days.
I'm traveling from San Francisco, CA to Guangzhou but I am making a technical stop in Wuhan. Do I need a travel entry permit? I will arrive in Guangzhou, China at 10:30 pm and leave to the Manila, Philippines at 8:00 am.
Please help!

Hi, you cannot use free transit policy if you travel like that, you need to apply for a visa for that beforehand.
