Travel to Guangzhou, onward to Vietnam and Cambodia, back to Guangzhou

I'm an American with this proposed itinerary (all by air):
JFK-CAN
CAN-HPH (Vietnam)
HPH-REP (Cambodia)
REP-CAN-JFK (direct transit)

Will I require a Chinese Visa for a 2-day stop in CAN when arriving from JFK?

Thanks!!

Well, you are eligible for 72h visa-free transit, so no visa is needed.
