About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

UK Citizen travelling from Singapore to UK via Beijing

Hi

I am travelling from Singapore to UK with a stopover where I would like to spend one or two days visiting Beijing.

I am leaving Singapore to arrive in Beijing 3pm on a Thursday afternoon. I want to leave Beijing on Sunday afternoon at 2pm to go home to the UK.

Am I eligible for the free 72 hour free transit?

thanks

Singapore to Beijing is a non stop flight landing at 3pm Thursday.
Beijing to UK is a non stop flight leaving at 2pm Sunday.

I will have my ticket for Beijing to UK already when I leave Singapore and arrive in Beijing.

That's within the 72-hour period so you'll be fine.

Thankyou.

Is it fine that I am booking the trips under 2 separate tickets ..... ??

1st ticket: Singapore to Beijing on Thursday arriving 3pm (Beijing time)
2nd ticket: Beijing to UK on Sunday leaving 2pm (Beijing time)

It is not a scenario that I am flying in on one ticket and have a typical stopover of a set number of hours whilst awaiting my onward flight to UK.

Please advise if possible.

Separate tickets and separate carriers are fine.
