validity for 144-hour visa at Shanghai

Is a SIN (Singapore) - PVG - CAN (Guangzhou) - KUL (Kuala Lampur) valid for the 144-hr visa in SH. The stopover in CAN is transit only. In the same vein, is the following itinerary valid for 144-hr visa: SIN-FOC (Fuzhou)-SHA-XMN (Xiamen)-KUL?

Sorry, the mentioned two routes are not qualified for 144h visa-free transit. Although you will only transit in CAN, it is regarded as going through two domestic cities including SH. So for your case, the transit visa is needed.
