How can I convert my tourist L type into a marriage temporary residence pemit from within china? I've gotten married recently to a Chinese citizen. I've read the instructions, and do I need a translation copy for my passport and visa again? Also do we Need to notarized the invitation letter? Thanks !

You can try to convert the L type into the family Q type within mainland China. The required documents include your passport, the application form, passport-style photo, valid registration form of temporary residence, an invitation letter from your wife/husband and copy of her/his Chinese ID card, as well as your marriage certificate, and other documents the consular officers consider necessary. Then, submit the application to the local PSB.
