About:Tongren Travel Tips

Xian to Yanan by bus

My problem: I am confused with so many long distance bus stations.
Questions: 1. Where can I board a bus in XA departing for Yanan? 2. What is the schedule, fare and travelling time?
Information: 1. I hotel the night before at XA Railway Station. 2. I need to catch an early bus to Yanan, to connect another noon Yanan-Yinchuan bus on the same day.

Hi, the buses depart from North Bus Station at 09:30 and 11:20, and from Sanfuwan Bus Station at 09:50. The bus fare is around CNY90-95 and it takes about 4h. For your case, I suggest take a taxi in the early morning to Sanfuwan Bus Station within 10min and catch the bus.

Or you can take a high speed train at North Railway Station instead. The first train leaves at 08:30 and you will arrive in Yanan by 10:40. It costs CNY95.5 for a second class seat and CNY114.5 for a first class seat.
