About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 hr visa?

We are arriving in Shanghai on a cruise boat and transferring directly to the airport. 1st stop on flight homeward is Singapore and then immediately connecting to Adelaide (Sth Australia).
Do we only need to apply for the 144hr free transit on arrival at Shanghai airport or do we need to apply for a China visa.
I await your reply.
Cheers, Dianne Stone (Australia)

Hi, if you travel like Australia-Shanghai-Singapore-Australia, you will be eligible for the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai. No transit G type will be required then. Nice trip.
