We are US citizen residing in Japan traveling to shanghai for 4 days, do we need a visit visa?

Hi, My Husband and I along with with our 3 year old daughter (all US citizen) will be traveling to Shanghai from Japan on December 10-14, 2017 and return to Japan as we are residing here, do we need to obtain a visit visa for 4 days visit?

Yes, you need to apply for a tourist L type for that trip.
