Travelling to CHina from Indonesia

My friend wants to travel to china Twice in 1 month
the first flight is schedule on 15 December and will go back to Indonesia on 19 December ( Game tournament )
After that he will go to China again on 21th December (Familiy Trip)

What type of visa should he apply?
the purpose to come to Chinais for Game Tournament on 15-19 December
and go holiday to China on 21th++
