travel hong kong to yangshuo

Question

We are travelling from Hong Kong to Yangshou in January 2018. Would you recommend the train from Hung Hom to Guangzhou East, transfer to guangzhou south and then to Yangshuo station? Or MRT from Jordan (where we are staying) to Lok Ma Chau, metro to ShenZhen North and to Gongcheng?

Well, in fact both options are OK. Personally speaking, the duration maybe easier to predict for Guangzhou option as the immigration part will be at Hung Hom station and Guangzhou East Station, around 30 to 45min usually. The immigration will be at Lok Ma Chau for Shenzhen option.In fact, the most important thing is the ticket availability, the ticket to yangshuo and gongcheng can be very popular. So the ticket availability can influnce your final route as well.
