About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Use both 24 and 72 hour exemptions?

Hi, I will be transiting through Beijing twice: Chicago - Beijing for about 55 hours - Sydney and then on the return, Sydney - Beijing for 14 hours - Chicago. I'm a US citizen. Can I use the 72 hour exemption on leg 1 and 24 hour exemption on leg 2?

Yes of course, assuming your passport qualifies and your flights are non-stop.
