About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Phuket - Chengdu (23hrs) - Shanghai (3hrs) - USA

Hello,

I realized I have a long layover in Chengdu, would it possible to get a 24 hr transit visa with a short layover in Shanghai?

Hi, Diane, as your total layover in mainland China is more than 24 hours, you may not be able to use the 24 hour direct transit. You are advised to apply for a visa for that beforehand.

No. When you wanna use the 72h twov, just 1 stop within China is allowed.
