Is a connection time of 3hrs at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport too long for transit?

Fm international to domestic. We taking southern China airlines. What can we do to kill time at Baiyun Airport T2 while waiting for our connecting flights to Haikou? Can we go out of the immigration for a quick explore at the Airport then come in again for our connecting flight? Thanks!
